Dust collector controls are intelligent systems which monitor and regulate all relevant functions of the unit, ensuring operational safety and energy efficient filtration of the process.
As the word “controller” implies, dust collection controllers manage the dust collection process to reach total system efficiency. These electrical controller systems allow dust collector operators to automate processes like pressure drop measurement, fan & motor speed and the pulse-cleaning cycle of the filter elements.
Many simple conventional systems do not provide a level of control that might be desired, often continuously running at full power (fan motor, compressed air) which results in high operational costs that are not always visible.
Smart controller sense the ventilation need at any given time and allocates the exact amount of power to fill that need. The filters only get pulsed when cleaning is needed, based on differential pressure of the filters. This in turn reduce the compressed air consumption significantly and also increase the filter life.
More advanced dust collector controllers can be configured to process requirements and can be connected to local Building Management Systems (BMS).
