Diversity & equal opportunities

Created Tuesday, 18 June 2024

Camfil strives for an inclusive business culture where all employees can overcome stereotypes and develop their full potential. Therefore, Camfil's board has decided that all Camfil units with production must become GEEIS-D certified.

Gender Equality European & International Standard (GEEIS) is an internationally recognised certification for companies with an effective commitment to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The GEEIS and GEEIS-DIVERSITY labels are aimed at all European and international groups that wish to participate in the construction of a more equitable society based on gender equality and diversity. The framework has been designed for all types of companies, regardless of their size, configuration and activity, in all countries and on all continents.

GEEIS was created by the Arborus Fund, the first global endowment fund supporting workplace gender equality, and Bureau Veritas, the international certification agency.
We are committed

Being certified shows our commitment to equal opportunities and benefits us both as an individual, as well as a company. Just to highlight some of those benefits, GEEIS helps ensure:

  • Equality at work and between colleagues
  • Equal opportunities
  • Equal salary levels for equal jobs
  • A safe work environment to be who you are
  • A better work life balance
  • Improving intercultural dialogue within the company
  • Sustainability of best practices

Qualifying for GEEIS

To obtain the GEEIS and GEEIS-DIVERSITY certification, the company must implement steering, training and communication tools to work towards equal opportunities. The labels are awarded following an on-site audit and a documentary study.

The certifying body measures the level of resources implemented and ensures the proper deployment of the HR policy in terms of professional equality at the parent company and in the group's subsidiaries that are concerned by the GEEIS or GEEIS-DIVERSITY. A series of criteria is used to assess the involvement and progress made.

The GEEIS or GEEIS-DIVERSITY are awarded for 4 years, with an interim evaluation after 24 months.
