Extraction Arms

Extraction arms from Camfil are an economic and flexible source capture solution which can be seen as an extension from the ductwork of the local exhaust ventilation system and an upgrade for existing workplaces. Available as standing or hanging models, the arms can be mounted beside or above the workplace, providing precise dust and fume extraction but not disturbing the process. CamArm extraction arms from Camfil are available in different length and diameters to comply with individual demands.

  • Low static pressure and low noise level because of the smooth steel tubes
  • Minimum internal dust deposits (no internal components)
  • Low maintenance and easy cleaning
  • Easy and stable positioning through grab handles and external swivels
  • Integrated lighting in the capture hood (optional)
  • Different length and diameters available

Specifications

Application
Camfil´s extraction arms can be used to capture dust and fumes from various industrial applications like welding, grinding, cutting, polishing, painting or packaging (excluding chemically aggressive fumes and gases)..
Installation options
Workplace systems like Camfil´s extraction arms easily can be connected to local exhaust ventilation systems or use a dedicated extraction an connection. From where, depending on the type of emissions, the process exhaust air is routed to a dust collector to get cleaned or ducted to the atmosphere where permitted.
Comment
Camfil´s workstations and extraction arms are built to last in industrial environments. Made of heavy duty, welded steel with powder coated surfaces, the systems are easy to install and require low maintenance over the lifetime. The arms are temperature resistance up to 80°C.
The CamArm extraction arms are available with 3 or 4 metre length in different diameters:
CamArm 160
Airflow range 900 – 1,400 m³/h (530 - 825 cfm)
160 mm dia (with 315 mm hood inlet)
CamArm 200
Airflow range 1,400 – 2,500 m³/h (825 - 1,470 cfm)
200 mm dia (with 350 mm hood inlet)

Dust collectors are necessary safety systems which have to be maintained properly

Dust collectors are necessary safety systems in many manufacturing and processing plants, thus as in the food processing industry. But if they are not designed, installed and maintained properly, these systems themselves can cause serious problems. In this eBook we highlight 10 ways how to make sure your dust collection system is up to the tasks of keeping workers safe, maximising production uptime and meeting regulatory compliance.
